My Half Yearly Visit

Hello Peeps,
Well, the visits are getting closer together. Only six months since I last found my way in here. Moved back to civilisation, have 2Mbps Broadband, as fast as it gets on this God forsken island
Also appear to have both my daughters living with me now, so no money, girlfiend or social life, perfect qualities for online gaming.
Even found myself browsing components online the other day and giving serious thought to dusting off my skills and building a proper games machine. (They tell me you can actually get Graphics cards bigger than 64 meg these days....who would have thought it possible????) Not sure that you can really get RAM in Gb tho....must be a printing error
How's it going then good people?

Hello Colostomy,
So you founded OAP. So you are the one I can sue for destroying my personal life, because of all the hours I now spend with online gaming!
I agree with Kindvall, which rarely happens, if you have a broadband, get yourself a mean gaming machine and an original HL2+CS:S cd and some skills. So we can play with someone over 80 instead of all those nearly >60 people!
Ram in Gb? Largest I could get was 1024Mb. Must be a rip off then, just explain in the store you want 1024Mb, not a Gb!!
Mzzl,
Tijn

Sorry mzzltijn, I owe you one Personal life!
It's very much the way of online gaming. And you were close Kindvall, 122 next birthday.
OAP was the brainchild of myself and another old geezer called Saga_Lout who was last seen somewhere in the North of England holding down a proper job in web design.
Great to see it's all still going strong........you must have a great clan leader (/looks at Vi and pokes him with a sharp stick)
Giving some serious thought to making a comeback. Really only need a good graphics card and a big stick of RAM in this pc to be truthful.
You guys still got an IRC channel? (stoopid question prolly)

What a nice friendly place this is still.
Been playing UT 99 again for the last few days. (took a little while to find the right patches) The bunny hop is back!
Gradually working the arthritis out of my fingers, then I figure I'm a decent graphics card and 512mb RAM away from a comeback. Keep an eye out for "Old Timer" on the publics (assuming anyone has still got 99 installed)
What joo minkehs playing these days?

All we play nowadays is CounterStrike: Source. Though I wouldn't mind some UT99 games again
